SEED Foundation

SEEDS-Sports for Education and Economic Development in Senegal is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing educational opportunities for youth, creating social awareness and encouraging economic development through the vehicle of sports. SEEDS is comprised of two components: the SEEDS Foundation and the SEEDS Academy.

The Foundation is the community outreach wing of the organization, which focuses its efforts on serving the Senegalese communities as well as disadvantaged communities in the US through various social initiatives, service projects, and donations. Specifically, for the Senegalese communities, SEEDS will on an annual basis identify significant areas of need in Senegal, and develop an action plan, which will address those needs.

The Academy is an academic program offered to promising students through the National Center for Vocational and Sports Education (CNEPS) located in Thies, Senegal. The Academy's Mission is to provide an environment that will spearhead the growth and development of students through education. The Academy was created to promote the growth of a person who is striving to improve him or herself everyday to reach the ultimate goal of being a well-rounded, moral and industrious human being and a leader within society. The Academy Family affirms the value and dignity of every individual who enters its doors and believes that individuals will prosper in an environment where they are nurtured and encouraged to make decisions based on sound values and ideals.
